WE WANT YOU to come and share your creativity and love of cosplay at our all new Cosplay Society at Shawn’s Sewing Center! Led by fashion designer and instructor Pam Dake, this group will be a place to work on current projects with expert assistance, learn new techniques, and share ideas with like-minded individuals. Whether you have never sewn a stitch or have been sewing for years, there’s a place for you here!
This info meeting is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend. Costs, meeting dates, and other details for Cosplay Society will be announced at the meeting.

One-Day Embroidery Event
Whether you are new to machine embroidery or have been stitching for years, everything is welcome at our patriotic party! This one-day event features three exclusive event projects: Home of the Brave Pennant, Sweet Liberty Mug Rug, and All-American Celebration Tote. Receive the Kimberbell project kit with fabric, denim tote, and all the embellishments, plus full-color detailed instructions and design CD.

Do you have a child in your life that is interested in sewing and quilting? Talk to them about Kidd’z Kamp! This six-week club will teach sewing basics in a fun environment by creating a sampler quilt. Each class will consist of a machine and project review, new weekly project and technique introduction with step by step instruction and break time with a snack. Each class session will also have guided open work time and questions will always be welcome. There will be homework, but don’t worry, this is the fun kind! Homework may consist of sewing exercises or completion of quilt blocks from class. At the end of the six-week course, each student will have a completed sampler quilt top!
Ages: 8-12
Dates: June 5, 12, 19, 26, July 10, 17 (Wednesdays)
Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm
Cost: $150 for six-week class, cost includes materials and snacks. Students should bring a machine to class.

Super Stars Topper Class
We've opened a second section of this class on June 19! Join Patty for this super star table topper project class! Cutting the pattern is made easy with the Creative Grids Spider Web Quilt Ruler. Ruler is discounted when bundled with the class! Pattern is included and has instructions for the 20” table topper and a smaller coaster-sized 5” version of the star.
Ruler is required for class. If you wish to bundle the ruler with the class, please choose additional materials when registering online. Your ruler will be in store for pickup any time before class or the day of class. Please bring machine to class.

Lemonade Mug Rug
With fabric and vinyl applique we’ve created a lemonade glass that’s always half full. Stitch the quilted pennant background in a contrasting color for celebration or blend with the background fabric to emphasize the drink and slice of citrus garnishing the cup, like our cherry cola with lime. You’ll find this mouthwatering design delish for an entire mixology of sodas. Please bring embroidery machine, thumb drive and hoop to class, required hoop size is 5x7. Cost includes project kit and embroidery design.
Project will be completed during class, embroidery machine with minimum hoop size of 5x7 is required. Please bring machine and thumb drive to class. Embroidery pattern, project kit and instruction is included!

June Kimberbell Project Class
Cute & Crabby Towels
Crabby by definition means bad-tempered, grouchy, or cross, but our cute crabs are completely cordial. With creative applique work and stitched broad smiles, these happy crabbers will have you smiling right back. Project includes two designs for two towels. Please bring your machine to class, all other supplies will be provided. Required hoop size is 5 x 7.

PE Design 11 For Beginners
Join Bettylynne Gregg for a lecture and demo of PE Design 11, Brother's Personal Embroidery and Sewing Digitizing Software. Bring your Windows laptop with PE Design 10 or 11 installed (don't forget your dongle!) and follow along to learn about running and updating the program, file types used, creating and savings designs and a whole lot more! Complete beginners are welcome!
Class is intended only for PE Design 10 or 11 and will be taught using PE Design 11. Unfortunately the class is not intended for PE Design version 9 or earlier or similar design software.
Class Objectives: Using Dongle to open program. File locations. Saving and Organizing Files. Checking for updates. File types used. Navigating the Tool Bar. Saving. Files created. Creating in PE Design 11. Resources and Finding Help.

ScanNCut 101
For ScanNCut 2 and earlier
Do you have a ScanNCut and don't know where to start? This class will teach you the basics and get you ready to tackle new projects. Class will cover: navigating through screens and buttons, selecting and manipulating a design, setting blade height and doing test cuts, choosing and using your mats, cutting paper, and cutting, weeding and transferring vinyl.

June Machine Mastery
Machine Mastery is a monthly class featuring instruction and demo on a specific feature of our top-of-the-line sewing and embroidery machines. Dream Machine will be in the morning and Luminaire will be in the afternoon. Babylock owners with equivalent models are welcome!
Please note the slight time change from past sessions of Machine Mastery. Dream Machine will now begin at 10:00am and Luminaire will now begin at 2:00pm.

Our next club meeting is Tuesday June 18.
Come join us once a month for socializing, snacks, show & tell and a quick demonstration by one of our instructors! All you need to bring is yourself and one project to share with the group. Club will meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 1:00 pm is full, but there are still seats open for 6:00pm! Cost for membership is $65 for one year. Our year will run from March 2019 - February 2020.
