Memory T-Shirt Quilt (Demo Class)



Turn cherished T-shirts into a one-of-a-kind keepsake quilt!
In this demo-style class, Sharon will walk you through the process of transforming sentimental shirts into a memory quilt, sharing tips, tools, and design ideas along the way.

Topics covered include:

  • Stabilizing T-shirt fabric with fusible interfacing (SF101 or CD101F)

  • Tools for cutting shirts into uniform blocks (approximately 12")

  • Designing quilt layouts (including helpful inspiration resources)

  • Adding sashing or blocks

  • Piecing everything together into a finished memory quilt

This is a demo-style class, so no sewing machines or materials are required. Just bring your curiosity and questions!

Instructor: Sharon
Instructor Bio: Sharon Hilton began sewing at the age of eight on her mother’s Featherweight sewing machine and has been creating ever since. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s degree in Clothing and Textiles, and has taught college-level classes at Missouri State University for three semesters. Sharon enjoys making quilts, zippered pouches, quilted notebooks, and quilted coats, and brings both technical knowledge and practical experience into her teaching. Her classes are thoughtful, approachable, and designed to help students gain confidence while learning skills they can apply to their own creative projects.
