QUILTED SNEAKERS

YOU MUST CALL SHAWN'S SEWING CENTER TO SIGN UP! $60 OF CLASS FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE. SHOE SIZES ARE IN EUROPEON SIZES AND IS REQUIRED AT TIME OF SIGN UP.
You pick the fabric and the design- regular low top sneaker, mid top sneaker or high-top sneaker. We will provide the Sneaker Kit and tools to complete your sneakers. You bring your sewing supplies and your fabric.

You must register for class, pre-order and pay for the correct shoe base.
These are European sizing and run slightly larger than American sizing. You can check Tandy Leather’s web site for Sneaker Kit sizes.

The shoes are European and shipped from Overseas- we will need your shoe size by February 1st.
COST: $140 (includes pattern in your size, shoe base kit with insole, grommets, hand sewing needle for waxed thread, waxed thread use of instructor’s tools)

Sewing Machine and thread to match your fabric- HOMEWORK required! Class Information will be emailed after signing up.
2 FAT QUARTERS of coordinating fabric. If using directional fabric you will need additional fabric (1/2yd)
SF 101 (PELLON fusible) Apply to coordinating Fat Quarters
1 Fat Quarter of Soft and Stable (more if using directional fabric)
1 Fat Quarter for Binding
MARKING tools that will show up on your fabric
Rotary cutter
Paper scissors and fabric scissors (SHARP)
Wonder clips, pins, thread to match fabric binding
Seam ripper
AWL (very important) for punching small holes in fabric and shoe base
Fray check
Pen light or portable OTT light for use when hand sewing quilted tops to shoe base.
Finger grips if you have any.
We will add supplies to list as necessary.
This class requires you to have your 2 coordinating Fat Quarters with SF 101 applied and your soft and stable quilted in a quilt sandwich with the soft and stable in the middle before class.
I recommend a 1” grid for quilting.
