Instructor: Bettylynne Gregg
Instructor Bio: Bettylynne Gregg, Ed.D I have been sewing, quilting, and creating since I was in 4th grade. I am new to embroidery since I retired in 2013. I have worked with BES 4 and PE Design 10/11 for the past 3 years when I purchased my Dream Machine from Shawn's Sewing Center. My background includes training and educating teachers and students from Kindergarten to college level for the last 20 years. I earned my Doctorate in Education in 2015 from Northern Illinois University. Working with computer systems at the university level, I developed, created, and produced training materials for Oracle PeopleSoft systems. When I think of designing/customizing by own embroidery files, I use the Design Center on my Dream Machine, PE Design, and BES 4 Dream Edition software packages. I like to make digitized custom labels for my fabric creations, as well as edit design feature from an embroidery file to make it my adaptation of the design. Using the tools that I have on my computer, I am able to design and create my own embroidery file. I love to learn every day. I learn many tips and tricks from others about embroidery. I am not an expert but I know that I can learn with my 'can do' attitude.
